  5. Model for Diffusion of Innovation • Research Question: How has the Just in Time methodology, initially developed for use in the manufacturing industry and applied to production and warehousing, been adapted and adopted in other contexts?

  6. Methodology • Search as many (non-business) online databases as possible for this concept • Add up the results • Compare and contrast the research published in different fields • Make some vague generalizations

  7. Results • Not a lot to say; in fact, this just didn’t work… • In a majority of the databases searched, the words ‘just’ and ‘in’ are stopwords, which made this work virtually impossible

  8. Enough Talk… Let’s do it!

  9. Just in Time Research • Gather data using the session’s audience as experts in the field • Tabulate during the presentations • Present results at the end of the session
