External Conflict Ex: Outside Force Mr. Wong struggled through the storm to save the Tigers from the icy snow and blinding rain.
External Conflict Ex: Opposing Character The Fish punched Mr. Wong in the face. Twice!
Internal Conflict An “internal conflict” takes place within heart and/or mind of the main character.
Internal Conflict Ex: Mrs. Fisher struggled with this dilemma in her heart: which class did she love more? Her first period, or her third period? Such a difficult choice!!!
Internal Conflict Ex: Mr. Wong agonized over this decision: should he drink Pepsi or Coke with his lunch? He just couldn’t decide.
