They prepare budget reports and monitor institutional spending.They establish the relationships between resources and the organization's mission and functions. They analyze accounting reports, write budget justifications, research program activities, attend briefings on programs, and examine budgets and financial plans. • Work environment • Budget analysts spend most of their time working independently, compiling and analyzing data and preparing budget proposals.
