  1. José Molláfounder / creative director • prior to founding la comunidad, José was creative director at Wieden+Kennedy in Portland, Oregon, for Nike International and then Nike US for almost five years. • then he moved to Europe, where he worked from the Wieden+Kennedy offices in Amsterdam and London. • in addition to working on Nike domestic and international, he has handled creative responsibilities for clients such as Miller Brewing and Coca-Cola as well as Powerbar, 800.com (consumer electronics) and the Indy Racing League (U.S. domestic market). • before being invited to work at Wieden, José was creative director at Ratto/BBDO (Argentina). • under his leadership, Ratto/BBDO won more awards than any other Argentine agency and was named "Agency of the Year" for 1996. His local and regional clients included Mastercard, Volkswagen, Bayer, Frito-Lay, FedEx and Pepsi.

Joaquín Molláfounder / creative director • Joaquín began working for small agencies in 1989 as a junior copywriter. • in 1994, he began working with Ratto/BBDO, first as a senior copywriter and then as creative director. that was the first time the two brothers worked together. • Joaquín was instrumental in the development of many international and regional campaigns including: Pepsi, Nike, Volkswagen, Visa, Clarín (the biggest Argentinean newspaper), BankBoston, Audi, Sancor (the top dairy brand in the country), 7-Up, Bayer, USA Network and FedEx. • he has also worked on campaigns for W/Brazil and for the legendary publication The Economist, with AMV/BBDO London. • before working for VW from la comunidad, Jose and Joaquin had 10 years of combined experience working as creative and strategic leaders of the VW Argentina account out of BBDO.

Ricky Viorcreative director • Ricky started his career in 1997 as junior art director for BBDO, and in 1998, he got a position as senior art director at VegaOlmosPonce Lowe / Lintas. • in 1999, he moved to London for a year, where he studied photography, design and typography at Saint Martins College of Art and Design. • in 2001 he joined la comunidad as art director, and sometime afterwards, he got promoted to creative director. • along his career, he has developed regional and international projects for Pepsi, Nike, Volkswagen, Fedex, Audi, Rexona, Linx, MTV, VH1, Citibank, Subway, Rolling Stone Magazine, Perry Ellis and Virgin Mobile, among others. • his work has been recognized in the most important international festivals, such as Clio, Cannes, Art Director Club de NY, The One Show, D&AD, and FIAP.

  4. Leo Pratcreative director • in 1998, Leo started his career as a junior copywriter at J.W. Thompson. • then in 2000, he joined la comunidad as a senior copywriter. while he enjoyed his time at la comunidad he took time off during 2003 to travel to Mexico and develop campaigns for Nissan. • in 2004 he moves to Young & Rubicam Argentina as a creative director. • finally in 2005 he returns to la comunidad, but this time as a creative director. • throughout his career he’s had the opportunity to work on campaigns for Unilever, Shell, Ford, MTV, Rolling Stone Magazine, Nissan, Teléfonica Unifón, Quilmes Brewery, Virgin Mobile, Perry Ellis and VH1, among other brands.

Jen Pattersonplanning director • before la comunidad, Jen was in strategic planning at Wieden + Kennedy for nine years, two of which she spent in WK’s London office where she drank a lot of tea and did her best to set the record straight about what Americans are really like. • she did not pick up an English accent. • while at W+K, Jen got to know some big, iconic brands like Starbucks, Miller, Diet Coke, Revlon, Royal Bank of Scotland and Foster’s. • she also worked with some small but feisty brands like POWERade, Allsteel, and Belvedere Vodka, rode the dot com wave with AltaVista, helped to develop a global new product launch for the Coca-Cola Company and to relaunch a classic, Miller High Life. • on a good day Jen finds time to take her dog to the park and cajole her husband into cooking something fabulous for dinner.

  6. Laurie Malagadirector of production • before joining la comunidad, Laurie Malaga spent eight years between Los Angeles, NY and London as the executive producer of the Music Video Division for Propaganda Films. • while at Propaganda, she worked with a director roster including Michel Gondry, Dante Ariola, Stephane Sednaoui and Jonathan Glazer as well as top music acts in the business such as U2, Bjork, Janet Jackson and Red Hot Chili Peppers. • in addition to all the fun she had making music videos, Laurie also produced one film, “Southlander”, which was directed by former Propaganda director Steve Hanft and many photo shoots for a number of magazines and record companies. • over the last two years before moving to Miami, Laurie decided to change it up a bit and lived in one of her favorite cities, New Orleans, where she opened a boutique called “Ladybug & Chocolate” and had a great time filling the place with all of her favorite things.

  7. Alain Groenendaalgeneral manager • In 1984 Alain began his advertising career at Leo Burnett (LB) Chile. He furthered his career in LBs in different Latin American countries. He’s handled various local and multinational clients such as Procter & Gamble, Federal Express, Citibank, and Gatorade. In 1991, he was named VP—Integrated Communications Director, supervising the agency's expansion into direct marketing, sales promotion, event marketing and marketing public relations services. • In 1995 he was transferred to Leo Burnett Brazil as VP-Group Account Director on the Procter & Gamble, United Distillers and ABN-AMRO Bank accounts. In 1997 he was promoted to VP—Business Development Director, where he lead the winning new clients including Tess (the at that time Telia owned mobile operator) and BankBoston, as well as brand consultancy projects such as the Gradiente home electronics new corporate vision and mission, Diageo scotch portfolio redesign and Cantv (Verizon-owned Venezuelan telco). • In 2001 Alain worked on the successful Visa Latin America and Caribbean pitch. After the win he was transferred to LB Miami in January 2003, to set up this new account across the region. • In October 2005, he joins la comu where he’ll be able to implement not only his professional skills, but also make use of his multilingual skills with his peers and clients. • Alain has an MBA from Duke University. He’s an American citizen, raised in Canada and has lived and traveled through Latin America.
