Phylum Nematoda. สมมาตรแบบ Bilateral symmetry มีเนื้อเยื่อ 3 ชั้น (ectoderm, mesoderm, endoderm) มีช่องว่างในลำตัวแบบ Pseudocoelom ลำตัวรูปทรงกระบอก แหลมหัวแหลมท้าย ร่างกายปกคลุมด้วย cuticle ชั้นกล้ามเนื้อเป็นกล้ามเนื้อตามยาว (longitudinal muscle) ระบบย่อยอาหารสมบูรณ์ มีปากและทวารหนัก.

Phylum Nematoda • สมมาตรแบบ Bilateral symmetry • มีเนื้อเยื่อ 3 ชั้น (ectoderm, mesoderm, endoderm) • มีช่องว่างในลำตัวแบบ Pseudocoelom • ลำตัวรูปทรงกระบอก แหลมหัวแหลมท้าย • ร่างกายปกคลุมด้วย cuticle • ชั้นกล้ามเนื้อเป็นกล้ามเนื้อตามยาว (longitudinal muscle) • ระบบย่อยอาหารสมบูรณ์ มีปากและทวารหนัก

  2. ระบบขับถ่าย มี intracellular tube 2 ท่อ • ไม่มีอวัยวะหายใจและระบบหมุนเวียนโลหิต • ระบบประสาทประกอบด้วย nerve ring และ nerve cord • มีเพศแยก (dioecious) ตัวผู้เล็กกว่าตัวเมีย • การผสมพันธุ์เป็น internal fertilization

  9. Order Rhabditoidea • Cuticle เรียบเป็นรูปวงกลม • มี papillae อยู่บริเวณหัว • ตอนท้ายคอหอยพองเป็นกระเปาะ • ไม่มี caudal gland

  10. Order Oxyuroidea • ตอนท้ายพองเป็นกระเปาะ • ตัวเมียหางแหลมยาว • ตัวผู้มี spicule 1 หรือ 2 อัน

  11. Order Ascaroidea • มีริมฝีปาก 3 อัน • คอหอยตอนท้ายไม่เป็นกระเปาะ • ตัวเมียหางตรงและทู่ • ตัวผู้มี spicule 2 อัน ขนาดเท่ากัน

  12. Order Strongyroidea • ปากไม่มีริมฝีปาก • คอหอยตอนท้ายไม่เป็นกระเปาะ • ตัวเมียมี ovejectors • ตัวผู้มี coupulatory bursa

  13. Order Filariodea • เป็น endoparasite ในระบบหมุนเวียนโลหิต ฯ • ปากไม่มีริมฝีปาก • คอหอยไม่เป็นกระเปาะ • ตัวเมียมี vulva อยู่ด้านหน้า • ตัวผู้มี spicule 2 ไม่เหมือนและไม่เท่ากัน • ตัวอ่อน(microfilariae) พบในกระแสเลือด

  14. อวัยวะรับความรู้สึกที่สำคัญอวัยวะรับความรู้สึกที่สำคัญ - papilla หรือ bristle พบบริเวณรอบปาก ทำหน้าที่รับสัมผัส - amphid พบบริเวณด้านข้างของส่วนหัว - phasmid พบ 2 ข้างของส่วนหาง
