CRU - Kulturforskningsgruppen WHAT? Research in internationalization and globalization with focus on communication as field for research and practice. A cross disciplinary approach is central to CRU. This approach combines cultural analysis with social sciences, and draws from the areas of marketing, management, public relations, policy or international business.

Hvad forsker vi i? • Proces (oversættelsesprocessen, fx i forbindelse med anvendelse af sprogteknologi) • Produkt (fx oversættelseskritik i forskellige sammenhænge) • Person (fx forskning i tolkens eller oversætterens rolle, eller oversætterens status)
Hvordan passer forskningen med undervisningen? • Tæt tilknytning til Tolk & Translatør (TT)-profilen • Oversættelseselementet i vores uddannelser både på BA og CLM • Undervisning, fx i tekstproduktion, knyttet til det sprog vi hver især repræsenterer.
Hvordan samarbejder vi? • Konkret samarbejde om artikler eller ansøgninger (på kryds og tværs, ofte to og to om artikler, men flere ved ansøgninger) • Mødes til faglige arrangementer (gæsteforsker, thesisproposal, etc) • Mødes til faglige diskussioner to gange i semesteret (fx videnskabsteori, interviews som metode, publicering) • Administration over mail (så vidt muligt) • Konferencer (European Society of Translation Studies (EST 2013))

Kort præsentation Vi arbejder teoretisk, og de teoretiske ideer afprøves i praksis ved udgivelse af trykte og elektroniske ordbøger. Vi arbejder ud fra den funktionelle teori, der fokuserer på, at ordbøger er informationsværktøjer, der giver hurtig adgang til de data, man har brug for i en given type brugersituation. Studerende, undervisere og forskere bruger ordbøger, så leksikografi er integreret i læringen, undervisningen og forskningen på BCOM, især på TT-profilen.

Internationalt symposium 13.-15. november 2013: Dictionaries of Economics in the 21st Century Symposiet har deltagelse af eksperter i økonomi og økonomisk historie, informationsvidenskab, fagleksikografi, økonomisk fagsprog og oversættelse, programmering, computerteknologi og forlagsvirksomhed.
