  4. Dues Membership Dues: $50 Includes: -DECA Membership -DECA Member Shirt -State Dues -National Dues Pay on Revtrak (on Fort Bend Isd website) Due Date: October 1st

  5. Membership Point System • A point system will be put into play to determine eligibility for State and Nationals • Volunteering, attending meetings, attending practices, helping, and doing your part will get you points. • Signing your parents up as Professionals for our DECA Chapter will be a great way to earn points! • You can also lose points for lack of attendance and bad behavior.

  6. Role Play/Written Events • Sign up genius will be posted after this meeting for event sign up • After this presentation all those who want to do role play will go to the back by the computers. Those interested in written event will stay here.

  7. Fundraiser This year’s fundraiser will be the Otis Spunkmeyer cookies which will be sold every TUESDAY at lunch We encourage students to promote these sales in order to raise money for DECA

  8. Fundraiser Continued On top of the cookies we will also be selling T-Shirts. Each member will be in charge of selling at least 2 shirts to family and friends. As part of this the person to sell the most t-shirts with the minimum being 10, will receive a prize. The prize will be voted on in the upcoming meetings

  9. T-shirt sales You will receive order forms to fill out every time you sell a shirt You will also receive envelopes to keep your money in We would like everyone to sell as many shirts as possible by November 10th Use Rev-Track Mrs. Vereen has to write a recipt for each t-Shirt

  11. Notice The remind will no longer be used and was only for the purpose of recruiting members. From this point forward we will be using band as shown in the next slide.

  17. Honor Cords Recognition for a letter award requires a student to complete multiple types of activities which support the development of productive, contributing society members. Award recognition goes beyond just competition and focusses on well-rounded development of the student. Students must earn a minimum of 30 points annually in order to receive a letter award.

  18. Honor Cords • Mini Competition Participation (maximum 3 pts / year) 1 point • District Participation 2 points • State Competition Participation 3 points

Honor Cord • National Competitio4 points • Chapter Community Service Activities (maximum credit 3 pts / year) 1 pt. / activity • Chapter Meeting Attendance (maximum credit 3 pts / year) ½ pt. / meeting • District CTE Functions (maximum credits 3 pts / year) 1 pt. / activity • Completion of CTE course ½ pt. / sem

  20. Honor Cords Students who have been active members for 3 or more years in the same CTSO and who have earned at least one letter award are eligible to wear the cord designated below.
