Production Capacity & Inventory • We raised our production to 20,000scu, and added a new bike, the lucas3000. • The lucas3000 has a quantity of 14,000 and a forecasted sales of $15,000. This Bike is geared towards children. • The Adv4 we had 20,000 in quantity and had a forecasted sales of 27,000. • During the last decision we raised the capacity from 22,000 to 25,000, this allowed us to have more room for our new product the lucas3000. • Our total Capacity is 25,000scu, our wastage is 6,474scu and our idle is 5,026scu.
Efficient Operations • Since our firm increased our capacity, we also had to increase our efficiency expenditure. • Our firm doubled our efficiency expenditure from $250,000 to $500,000. • Hopefully the increase in expenditure will help our firm to eliminate waste
Quality Performance • At LMGM BIKES we went with a low quality strategy and produced youth bikes with less quality. • At LMGM BIKES we increased our quality to $250 000. This is up 66% from our previous years. • This will help increase quality but still keep less money towards our quality.
Conclusion On Costs • LMGM BIKES decided to add a cheap new youth bike which will have less quality then our other road bike. • This has helped us to make more money off selling a cheaper product. • We doubled are efficiency expenditure in order to cut down on wastage and idle time. • We raised capacity in order to accommodate our new bike.
