“You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit is come uponyou and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem,in Judea and Samaria and to the uttermost parts of the world.”Acts 1:8
A witness is one who gives first hand information about a person, place or situation. A witness tells what he or she knows personally to be a fact.
Disciple making or witnessing for Christ is the primary business of the church and of the Christian.
We were created to worship him, but we are commanded to witness for him.
iEvangelize because I have a divine imperative to evangelize! iEvangelize because peopleare lost.
I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.John 10:10
“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless like sheep without a shepherd. The KJV says, “They were faintand scattered”. Matthew 9:36
Anytime someone is scattered, they are lost. Sheep without a shepherd are lost. Sheep depend on the shepherd for everything.
If you don’t know where you are going, youcould end up anywhere.
“I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but by me.” John 14:6
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart thatGod raised him from thedead, you will be saved.”Romans 10:9
For everyone who calls onthe name of the Lord shall be saved.
“How then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”
iEvangelize because I have a divine imperative, people are lost and people are hungry.
“There is in the heart of each person a God shaped vacuum which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God, the Creator, made known in Jesus Christ.”Paschal
Matthew 5:6Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness sake, for they shall be filled!
Evangelism or witnessing is one beggar telling another beggar whereto find bread.

God has not given us a spiritof fear, but of power, love and a sound mind!II Timothy 1:8
God does not want anyoneto perish, but everyone to come to repentance. II Peter 3:9
God wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.I Timothy 2:4
For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all. And he died for all that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. II Corinthians 5:14
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20
He also died that we might live for Him. Someone said that “Christ died our death for us that we might live His life for Him.”
When you have received God’s love and life, you can no longer live for yourself, you are compelled Paul says, to live for Him.
“Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is theone who loves me.”John 14:21
