  2. IL BATTERIO Le salmonelle sono bacilli Gram-negativi, asporigeni, aerobi facoltativi. Nadia Coppolone

  3. PATOLOGIE Nell'uomo sono causa di due patologie infettive: • la febbre tifoide e paratifoide; • le salmonellosi minori. Nadia Coppolone

  4. I SIEROTIPI I sierotipi sono diversificati secondo l'antigene somatico "O", l'antigene flagellare "H" e l'antigene di superficie "Vi". Secondo l'antigene "O", si distinguono nei sierogruppi A, B, C1, C2, D ed E. Nadia Coppolone

  5. AMBIENTE Le salmonelle sono presenti nell'ambiente e possono essere sia commensali sia patogeni per uomini e per vari animali; alcuni sierotipi lo sono esclusivamente per l'uomo (es. S. typhi e S. paratyphi A e C), altri si adattano anche ad altri animali (es. S. typhimurium). Nadia Coppolone

  6. CONCLUSIONI Tale patologia ha generalmente decorso breve e termina con la guarigione, ma non è da sottovalutare in soggetti più a rischio come bambini e anziani. Nadia Coppolone
