  1. Benefits of Ashwagandha Presented by Virat Kumar

  2. Introduction Ashwagandha, which is also known as winter cherry, is a type of evergreen shrub found in India, the Middle East, and some parts of Africa. It belongs to the Solanaceae family, commonly known as the nightshade family. The genus has several other Withania species that have similar appearances.

  3. History of Ashwagandha Ashwagandha has been a part of Ayurveda, India's ancient healing system, for over 6,000 years. It is considered a potent Rasayana with a variety of benefits. The root is known to be tonic, aphrodisiac, diuretic, and much more. The name "Ashwagandha" comes from its horse-like aroma and the promise of equine strength upon consumption. It is widely used for various conditions, from children's emaciation to issues of old age, rheumatism, and even insomnia. Ashwagandha is a versatile remedy deeply ingrained in the tapestry of traditional medicine.

  4. 6 potential benefits of ashwagandha • May help reduce stress and anxiety • May benefit athletic performance • Reduce symptoms of mental health • Boost testosterone and increase fertility • May improve brain function, including memory • May reduce inflammation

  5. May help reduce stress and anxiety Ashwagandha may help control stress mediators such as heat shock proteins (Hsp70), cortisol, and stress-activated c-Jun N-terminal protein kinase (JNK-1). May benefit athletic performance Ashwagandha may help improve physical performance in athletes and healthy adults, including measures like VO2 max and strength.

  6. Reduce symptoms of mental health After 12 weeks, participants who consumed 1,000 mg of ashwagandha extract daily experienced greater reductions in depression and anxiety compared to those who were given a placebo. Boost testosterone and increase fertility The herb increased DHEA-S and testosterone levels by 18% and 14.7%, respectively, compared to the placebo.

  7. May improve brain function, memory Taking Ashwagandha may improve cognitive function. One review of five clinical studies found preliminary evidence that ashwagandha may improve cognitive function in specific populations, such as older adults with mild cognitive impairment and individuals with schizophrenia. • Cognitive functions that may benefit include • executive functioning • attention, reaction time, and performance on cognitive tasks.

  8. May reduce inflammation Animal studies have shown that WA may also help reduce levels of inflammatory proteins such as interleukin-10 (IL-10), and there’s some evidence ashwagandha may help reduce inflammatory markers in humans too. An Ayurvedic drug with ashwagandha and other herbs taken twice daily for a week lowered inflammatory markers CRP, IL-6, and TNF-α compared to placebo. The treatment formulation also contained: • One gram of giloy ghanvati (Tinospora cordifolia) • Two grams of swasari ras (a traditional herbo-mineral formulation) • Half a gram of tulsi ghanvati (Ocimum sanctum)

  9. Lifestyle Dosage Quality For purity and effectiveness, choose a high-quality Ashwagandha supplement from a trusted source. It is important to follow the recommended dosage for Ashwagandha and avoid excessive intake without proper guidance. Ashwagandha is best incorporated into a balanced lifestyle with proper nutrition, exercise, and stress management. What should we do?

  10. 100% 500 milligrams (mg) per day for ashwagandha does not begin working immediately. In fact, according to most studies, results typically appear within 4-12 weeks.

  11. Proper Storage of Ashwagandha Powder To ensure the quality and potency of your Ashwagandha powder, it is important to store it properly. Keep it in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and moisture. You can use airtight containers to preserve its freshness and effectiveness. It is also important to avoid exposure to heat and ensure that the storage area is dry to prevent clumping. Regularly check for any signs of spoilage such as changes in color and odor.
