Check whether we subscribe to an e-journal with that title American annals of the deaf
Can’t find the correct title on the list? We do not subscribe to this journal in e-format!
Step 2 Select Select Put in journal title American Annals of the deaf Check whether we subscribe to the hard copy of the JOURNAL TITLE mentioned in the reference.
Step 3 Determine whether the journal is available from another library in South Africa by using Sabinet database If it is available, you may do an interlending request You must be registered as an interlibrary user Register in advance either online: http://www.library.up.ac.za/interlending/onlineregister.htm or, on level 5 of Merensky library If you are not notified within 3 days what your Username and password are, call 012-420 3229 to get it.
Requesting an article Select

If you are registered, click on Request It is available from all these libraries
Put in your ‘User ID’ and ‘Password’ correctly, and submit
Your personal details will be displayed Scroll down
Put in the date: not less than 7 days of requesting Select Scroll down to the bottom of the page
In the case of a book Do a keyword, author or title search
Step 4 If the article is received in hard copy, you will be notified that you may collect it on Level 5 If the article is received electronically, it will be forwarded to you. As soon as the book is received, you will be notified to collect it on level 5
Step 5 If the (journal) title was not found on Sabinet, it means that no library in South Africa subscribes to that journal, or has the book in it’s collection. If you are a master or doctoral student, ask your information specialist for assistance to request the source internationally.
