Location Observation Fairfax County Parkway • Most sections of the road are made of just two lanes. • This is a road there is always traffic jam during rush hours. • One of Major Auto-Vehicle roads most drivers use everyday in Loudoun and Fairfax county. • The road is connected with other major roads in Northern Virginia. • The road has many traffic signals. • The road has the middle block between two lines where many signal panels are standing.

  5. Problems • Some Cars in the front drive much slower than the speed limit. • Other drivers behind the slow drivers become impatient, and try to pass the slow car. But it would cause horrible car accidents. • They cause to worsen the traffic condition.

  6. How would the post work? • It would help drivers keep the speed limit properly. • It would be helpful to reduce traffic jam. • It would be helpful to reduce car accidents. • It would remind people who are driving to focus on driving and maintain right speed based on speed limit on the road.

  7. Reasoning for the content • Used Red color for background because red is very significant color used for traffic sign many times, such as stop sign • Size should be similar to direction sign panel on the road. Bigger poster would help people see easily. • Used a image of traffic jam which people recognize the situation in the poster. • It shows two different signs that indicate distinctive speed. One from a sign of speed limit and other one from dashboard of slow driver’s car. • The dashboard is symbolic image of auto-vehicles for people to identify.

  8. Target audience • Every Driver who drives on Fairfax County Parkway. • Drivers who are age of 30 or above. • Especially, Female Drivers • Drivers who doesn’t focus on driving(texting, calling, eating, etc.)

  9. Things I want to let people know • They would harm traffic condition. • They’re not only who drive on the road. • It is still safe to drive with Maximum of the speed limit signs.
