The absence of all school employees is monitored and the procedure is applied where appropriate

All employees comply with the reporting procedure
Absences are recorded and reported in accordance with the procedure
Absence levels are monitored against triggers and action taken (supported where appropriate by HR)
Absent staff are kept up to date with school matters
Signs of stress are recognised and support/ action taken as appropriate in accordance with BCC procedures
Unauthorised absence is dealt with as a matter of conduct
