  3. Principis Igualtat Currículum Ensenyament Aprenentatge Avaluació Tecnologia

  4. Igualtat L’excel·lència en l’educació matemàtica requereix igualtat: altes expectatives i fort recolzament per a tots els estudiants.

  5. Currículum El currículum és quelcom més que una col·lecció d’activitats: ha de ser coherent, estar centrat en matemàtiques importants i ben articulat a través dels diferents nivells.

  6. Ensenyament Un ensenyament efectiu requereix conèixer allò que els alumnes saben, allò que necessiten aprendre i després estimular-los i recolzar-los per tal que ho aprenguin bé.

  7. Aprenentatge Els estudiants han d’aprendre les matemàtiques comprenent-les, i construir activament nous coneixements a partir de l’experiència i els coneixements previs.

  8. Avaluació L’avaluació hauria de recolzar l’aprenentatge de matemàtiques importants i aportar informació útil a professors i alumnes.

  9. Tecnologia La tecnologia és essencial en l’ensenyament i l’aprenentatge de les matemàtiques; influeix en les matemàtiques que s’ensenyen i potencia l’aprenentatge.
