  6. National Digital Library The NMEICT has initiated the National Digital Library of India project to develop a framework of virtual repository of learning resources with a single-window search facility. The NDL will contain textbooks, articles, videos, lectures, etc.

The MHRD has now decided to made campuses of Universities WiFi enabled. IITs, IIMs, and NITs have already established WiFi campuses.

  9. Central Cloud Infrastructure A project to IIT Delhi has been awarded by NMEICT to set up robust 24X7 baked Data Centre and the activities have been put up at NIC/NKM Data Centre. The cloud is called “Baadal.

  10. National Academic Depository The NAD is initiated for facilitating the issuance, storage, access and verification of Academic Awards. There are some more Digital Initiatives in Higher Education like e-Sodh Sindhu, e-Yantra, Talk to a Teacher, Ask a Question, e-Acharya, E-Kalpa, FOSSEE, e-Vidwan, and Spoken Tutorial.
