Level 1 Topics of Study • Introduction to medical terminology • Introduction to anatomy and physiology • Introduction to the role of the nursing assistant in long term care • Clinical rotation in a health and rehabilitation center • Servsafe Program • National Restaurant Association Certification • Role of dietary aide in the nursing home • Clinical rotation included

  4. Level 2 Topics of Study • Medical Terminology • Anatomy and Physiology • Related diseases • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) • NJ Department of Health approved • Certified Homemaker Home Health Aide (CHHA) • NJ Board of Nursing approved • Must be 18 years old • American Heart Association CPR Certification • Clinical rotation in local health and rehabilitation centers

  5. HOSAHealth Occupations Students of America • New Jersey State Affiliation • National Affiliation • Level I and Level II HOSA participation • Regional conference / competition in January • State conference / competition in March
