Plastic problem By Mark and Molly In class 3
Why Plastic is a problem • The North sea was once considered the most contaminated seas in the world. • The UK is the most popular country in Europe so people come to seaside's in the UK and drop plastic items everywhere. • Thousands of Tonnes of plastic in our seas are killing of sea animals this could make them Endangered …………………
The pacific garbage patch This horrible problem that the countries are not doing anything about is growing in the Pacific. It is estimated 10% of plastic ends up in our oceans
The trash vortex A tiny fraction of plastic waste in the oceans being collected from the beach. Plastic kills many marine animals when they mistake plastic for food The great pacific garbage patch between Hawaii and California thought to be as big as England ` France and Germany. As the plastic breaks down poisonous gas comes of the plastic and poisons the water so in 50 years time you could drink the water !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What you can do to help First you could start throwing unwanted plastic in bins to be recycled In your home you could start using glass bottles instead of plastic bottles. At the beach we could get litter pickers and pick up rubbish. In parks we could get more bins from the council and through away rubbish. TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A CLEAN WORLD THIS IS WHAT WE CAN DO!!!!!!!!!
