  2. Nouns are words that name people, places, and/or things.

  3. Some nouns name a special person, place, or thing. These nouns are called proper nouns. Proper nounsbegin with a capital letter. Henry Elementary School United State of America New York City

  4. People often have special titles that show respect for who they are or for the work they do. When a person’s special title is written with their name, use a capital letter at the beginning of the special title. Let’s look at some special titles. Officer Bugle Mrs. Angle Principal Frost Dr. Feltbetter

  5. The names for the days of the week, the months of the year, and holidays begin with a capital letter. November Easter July Wednesday President’s Day Christmas October Saturday
