  3. AREAS OF FOCUS • Peace and conflict prevention/resolution • Disease prevention and treatment • Water and sanitation • Maternal and child health • Basic education and literacy • Economic and community development

GLOBAL GRANT QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS • THE ROTARY FOUNDATION (Annually) • Must have Attended a Grant Management Seminar • Must Sign & Adhere to Club Memorandum of Understanding. • Must be current in reporting on all existing Global Grants. • DISTRICT 7610 (Annually) • Must have Agreed to & Submitted the Signed Club Memorandum of Understanding Addendum.

D7670 GLOBAL GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS First Step: • Community Needs Assessment • If project is overseas; find a qualified ‘Host’ club to execute project • Make sure project is sustainable and has measurable goals; find tools @ https://www.rotary.org/myrotary/en/take-action/apply-grants/global-grants • Coordinate financing with: • Your home Rotary Club • District 7610 Global Grant Chair – Andrew Wade • Any Partner Rotary Club(s) here or abroad • Rotary District of Host Club

  6. GLOBAL GRANT APPLICATION • Applications submitted online: www.rotary.org/grants • No application deadlines • Submit applications at least 90 days prior to travel

  8. #1 NEEDS ASSESSMENT • Conduct thorough assessment of community needs and strengths • Talk to community members directly • Start with needs assessment rather than project plan

  9. #2 AREA OF FOCUS • Review areas of focus policy statements • Identify most appropriate area of focus based on needs assessment • Design project based on identified area of focus • Ensure that all project activities relate to the area of focus goals

  10. #3 DETAILED PROJECT PLAN • Provide detailed project implementation plan • Involve beneficiaries in project design

  11. #4 ROTARIAN INVOLVEMENT • Provide detailed list of tasks for host and international Rotarians

  12. #5 BUDGET • Provide detailed budget • Include vendor information and explain how vendors were selected

  13. #6 SUSTAINABILITY • Clearly understand specific sustainability components

  14. #7 TRAINING INFORMATION • Include detailed information for each training opportunity • Frequency • Curricula • Target audience (specific beneficiaries, adults vs. children, etc.) • Trainer

  15. #8 COOPERATING ORGANIZATION MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) • Include MOUs for each cooperating organization

  16. #9 MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION • Include specific information related to measurement and evaluation
