Secretary’s Report Brian Szewczyk, NJ1F, Secretary
February 7, 2015 Meeting Minutes Tony K1KP called the February 7th General Meeting, of the Yankee Clipper Contest club to order at 1:00 and announced that in the interest of giving the maximum amount of time to our guest speaker that we would not be doing the usual roll call of members. Brian NJ1F gave the secretary’s report and Chet N8RA gave the treasurers report. Paul K1XM made a motion to accept the reports, which was seconded by Lenny KB1W. Tony K1KP asked if there was any unfinished business, there was no unfinished business. Tony K1KP announced that the only Contest University will be held at the ARRL Headquarters on February 10th Tony K1KP announced that there will be a local meeting of NYC-LI YCCC members on February 17th in Bethpage NY. Tony K1KP announced that tickets for the Yankee Clipper Contest Club Youth Scholarship Raffle for a K3 are forsale at the meeting, see Chet N8RA. Tony K1KP introduced the guest speaker Brooke Allan N2BA who gave an interactive presentation on using “Gamification” techniques to generate interest in contesting and Ham Radio in general. Tony K1KP announced a 15 minute break for purchasing tickets and socialize
February 7, 2015 Meeting Minutes Continued After the break Tony asked if there was any one present who wanted to become a member of the YCCC. Raymond NM2O and Bill N1UZ were welcomed aboard. Tony K1KP turned the meeting back over to Brooke N2BA to continue his presentation. A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by KM1P and Seconded by K1XM.
