AGENDA Choice Neighborhood Goals • People: Support positive outcomes for families who live in the target development and the surrounding neighborhood, particularly outcomes related to residents’ Economic Self-Sufficiency, safety, employment, and mobility; • Housing: Transform distressed public and assisted housing into energy efficient, mixed-income housing that is physically and financially viable over the long-term; • Neighborhood: Transform distressed, high-poverty neighborhoods into viable, mixed-income and sustainable neighborhoods with access to well-functioning services, high quality public schools and Economic Self-Sufficiency programs, high quality early learning programs and services, public transportation, and improved access to jobs.
Comprehensive Needs Assessment • Metrics to Measure Achievement: • Number and percentage of children in kindergarten who are assessed as developmentally ready at the beginning of the school year. • Number and percentage of students at or above grade level according to state mathematics and English language arts assessments in 3rd through 8th grade. • Number and percentage of youth who graduate from high school. Education Outcome Children enter Kindergarten ready to learn. Children are proficient in core academic subjects. Youth graduate from high school college- and career-ready
