THC Process –Step 1 • The next step after preparation of manifests is to define truck details in Webxpress. Trip Hire Challan is used to record all the details pertaining to a given trip of a given vehicle. • Step 1 : Define type of vehicle There are FOUR types of vehicles that may be employed by the company. • Attached Vehicle • This is a vehicle used on a regular basis • This vehicle typically belongs to a vendor with a long term contract with company • Typically, the routes on which an attached vehicle can run MAY also be pre-defined • All details of this vehicle such as capacity, chassis number, engine number, make etc. are available with the company • Market Vehicle • This is a vehicle booked based on requirement on a given day • This vehicle is sourced from open market typically with the help of brokers • Details of this vehicle are not known in advance to the company
Company Owned Vehicle • This is a vehicle owned by the company • All details of this vehicle are available to the company • Co-loaded Vehicle • In this case, a partly filled vehicle of another service provider may be used • Company contracts only capacity on such a vehicle and not vehicle itself • User can select any one of above type of vehicles.

Trip Hire Contract- STEP 1 Give route name & route mode • Select the ROUTE MODE such as Air/Road/Train/Express • Route name – origin to destination Such as AMDCBC-BLRCBC • Vendor Type - Attached/Market/own • Vendor Name who is attached with that route Slide#4 • Data entered in previous step can not be changed in next steps
Step 2 • Step II: Select type of route There are FOUR types of route that user can select: • Standard Route • This is a pre-defined route for a vehicle to travel • All details of such a route such as locations, start time, transit time, distance etc. are known to the company • Rates for given capacity of vehicle for a given route MAY be known to the company • A vehicle travels regularly on these routes • User will select a route from a list of available routes for a given location • Non-standard route • This is an ad-hoc route to meet requirements at a given point of time • Details of such a route are not known in advance • Typically, a market vehicle runs on such a route
Step -2 contd….. • Air route • This is a standard route with air transport as a component of the route • This route can be only air or a combination of air and road • Rail route • This is a standard route with rail transport as a component of the route • This route can be only air or a combination of air and road

Step 3 Step III: Entry of THC details • User will enter following details in the THC • Vehicle details • Driver details • Truck vendor details • Contract amount and advance details • All the manifests with a given route will be shown in the THC • User may decide not to attach a manifest at this stage • User will then enter the time of departure of the vehicle • User will submit the THC and take a print of the same • All manifests and CNote are physically attached to the THC and sent with the vehicle
