The vital issue, the “talents” are golden moments of opportunity to use God-given resources for the sake of the kingdom.
a. The master is sovereign in the distribution of these opportunities.
b. The master is wise in the distribution of these opportunities “according to their ability.”
c. The master holds them accountable for what they do with these opportunities.
For Christians it will be the Bema, the judgment seat (1 Cor. 3:10-15; 2 Cor. 5:9-10).
We may be judged more for our sins of omission than our sins of commission.
