  2. Welcome to LarKin! • I will introduce you to the subject and our classroom. • If you have any questions during my presentation, please raise your hand and wait to be called on.

  3. About Me • My background • I grew up in Venezuela. • I attended Elementary, High School, and College there. • My experience • I’ve been teaching for 8 years English, Math and Computer. • I have also taught 1st grade and 2nd grade, middle school and College but high school is my favorite.

  8. My Goals • To give you the academic and social skills you need to progress in your life. • To provide a supportive and fun classroom environment. • To help you make new friends and discover new interests.

  10. Class Values • Our classroom is a community, is our family. In our family, we have values to help us get along with each other. • Our class Values are: • Respect each other. • Believe in yourself. • Be cooperative. • Self Discipline

  11. Homework • I will assign homework. Make sure to ask for it if you were absence. • Your homework is very important for your success and the easiest way to improve your grade. • If you need extra Help to work on your homework, you can reach me at the ELL office I will be glad to help.

  12. Tardiness • Make sure to be in the classroom on time for every period. • Less than 5 min 1 tardy. • If you are tardy 3 times, I will contact your parents and that’s a truancy you will be in step 1 • Read students handbook for details on this subject.
