Characteristics of the star graded hotels in the Nordic/Baltic system Confirmed at the Nordic/Baltic Classification Board meeting in Copenhagen the 7th of December 2006 Hotels participating on the Nordic/Baltic system should as a minimum live up to the folIowing demands: ★ All rooms have at least a hand-basin with hot and cold running water. Bathrooms or showers are available. Breakfast is offered. Telephone availability. Access to the hotel is possible around the clock. Guest rooms contain made beds, one towel per bed, a table, a wardrobe, and a chair. ★★ Everything that one star hotels offer plus: Rooms with private bath/shower and toilet subject to availability. A separate room for breakfast is available. Refreshments (drinks and snacks) can be bought at the premises. ★★★ Everything that two star hotels offer plus: All rooms have private bath/shower and toilet as well as telephone availability, TV, radio and desk. Larger hoteis have non-smoking rooms. Manned reception desk during day hours. Elevator, if the hotel has more than 3 storeys with guest rooms. At least 2 international credit cards are accepted. Curtains or blinds in the guest rooms. ★★★★ Everything that three star hotels offer plus: Comfortable chairs in the rooms. TV with international channels. Staff at duty 24 hours.
