  3. Officer Reports

  4. New Officer Nomination • Jason Quintana is being nominated for a new officer position that he has expressed interest in and that he has a passion for. • Officer position : Environmental/Animal Activism. • Of course this wouldn’t limit Jason to only doing this as an officer and he can participate along with other officers and members in other officer activities/planning. • Vote

  5. Website Update Fees due to maintain site running. Up to $250.00 reimbursable to Dr. Phil. Officers please sign Reimbursement form. Gloria: Update us on how well acquainted you’ve gotten with modifying site. We will be working diligently to update it quickly. Any officers that have not sent their picture and bio to post on website please forward pic and bio to Gloria Duarte. Also volunteer opportunities can be placed on this site, so forward opportunities as well.

  6. AGS Balance UPDATE • What is our current AGS balance? Currently waiting on Student Life to give us a detailed report.

  7. A.G.S. Vote on Reimbursements • Reimburse Tennille $59.28 for previous semester pizza/water purchase.

  8. A.G.S. • We need to come up with the best dates to volunteer and do fundraising at the school. Everyone sign a sheet with their best availability to help fundraise. *This does not mean that the best date according to the majority will be the only date that we will volunteer to fundraise*

  9. Club Day • AGS needs volunteers to work on club day (It is mandatory to be an eligible ICC member club). Already RSVP’d with Student Life, we chose to sell pizza. However, pizza will be available at 12:00pm, we need to figure out what else we will be selling and notify Student Life ASAP. Club Day will be held on October 29th from 10:00am – 3:00pm (Halloween/ Fall harvest theme). First come first serve basis on what we will be allowed to sale, and on the availability of electrical outlets so we need to determine this today (Jamba Juice?). • We need to agree maximum purchase amount for this fundraiser so that we can place in minutes and request cash advance.

  10. ICC Giving Back Event • ICC need input from all clubs for a possible Giving Back event. • We need to brainstorm our idea so that Charlie can present it at the next ICC meeting this Monday.

  11. District 65th AnniversaryDec 7th • LMC wants to hold a Philanthropy and Giving theme for our District’s 65th anniversary. In collaboration with other CC Campus’ • Excellent opportunity for us to participate in a Campus event, and to network with other LMC students. LMCAS is sponsoring it, ICC might join in. Still open to ideas in organizing the event. Brianna Klip from LMCAS will be giving us more info. as the plan gets developed.

  12. District 65th AnniversaryUnsung Hero Nomination • If you know an “unsung hero” that needs to be acknowledged for the unknown, unique and/or aspiring contributions that he/she has made to the District. Fill out the Unsung Hero Nomination Form by Friday, October 15th, 2013. • You can nominate someone for their volunteer work, their commitment to the community, acts of kindness, etc. • Honoree must agree to be nominated and be available to accept the award during the ceremony for Saturday, December 7th, in Martinez CA.

  13. Event Cancelled • Unfortunately, Ms. Rosanna Clark’s in collaboration with L.M.C.A.S.’ Fighting the Fight Against Breast cancer event was cancelled due to lack of registrations. • L.M.C.A.S. is working on a possible plan B. • Breast Cancer survivor Scholarships will still be available. • Any further info. on possible plan B will be dispatched.

  14. Volunteer Opportunity Our Campus’ Nature Preserve staff are seeking volunteers to help out with community garden, and to help with gardening and misc. yard work. Best time to volunteer is on Monday mornings, but can they can also set up a date for us to help as a team. Please email Mickey if available @ mickeyrover@gmail.com and notify Ahsley, Rittana, and Charlie. This can be an excellent opportunity for AGS to get volunteer hrs. on Campus, and can be a fun AGS teamwork event day. Nature Preserve staff and any AGS officer can sign off volunteer sheet for any volunteer work performed.

  15. Community Produce Programn Solomon Temple located at 655 California Ave. Pittsburg, CA is seeking volunteers to distribute food every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. If in need you may also attend with one or two bags with handles for free groceries, limit one person per family. Contact info: Taunita Trotter ttrotter@solomontempleministries.org

Volunteer Opportunities in progress for AGS members. • RC will be working on a beach clean up volunteer opportunity for AGS members to do as a team. • Debora will be working on setting up a bone marrow drive • Rittana is trying to sign us up for a Walk volunteer event at great America on 10/20. (last minute plan so we hope we can make this event happen).

  17. Advisor Report AGS Northern Regional Conference at Las Positas College on Nov. 2nd Registration to be mailed and postmarked by 10/15
