ACCREDITATION OF SDP • Directly with QCTO • Requirements • be a juristic person registered or established in terms of South African law • have a valid tax clearance certificate issued by the South African Revenue Service • Occupation Health and Safety Certificate as per qualification • Capacity to deliver • Learners Appeals policy • Learners code of conduct • Divided into 3 phases • Phase 1 Application • Phase 2 Desktop evaluation • Phase 3 Site Visits

  8. ……Cntd • be safe, secure and accessible to candidates; • meet the relevant standards for occupational health and safety; • have the required physical resources (e.g. venue; equipment, machinery or protective clothing), specified by the AQP to assess learners’ competence regarding the occupational qualification or part qualification; • have appropriately qualified human resources

REGISTRATION OF ASSESSMENT CENTRES • AQP is delegated for this function • The institution or body need to have capacity to conduct secure, reliable external summative assessments. • have appropriately qualified human resources to conduct assessments as specified by the AQP. • Responsibilities of an assessment centre • conduct integrated external summative assessments • assess the occupational qualification or part qualification • if also a training provider, provide an assessment area separate from the training area; • allow candidates registered for assessment and assessment practitioners conducting the assessment into the assessment area;

EXTERNAL INTERGRATED ASSESSMENT(EISA) • standardisation of the assessment instruments • The process of developing assessment tools is led by industry through CEPs. • It must be in line with the outcomes of the qualification • SDP to conduct internal assessment and issue statement of results to competent leaners • learners have option not to be assessed externally(EISA) for occupational certificate.
