2. Project Definition • Currently, female labor force participation in Turkey remains very low for Europe and Central Asia region standards and has been decreasing. Only 25 percent of the female population over 15 years of age is accounted for in labor force participation rates. This project aims to help the participant young women find employment through a comprehensive program that: • • Enhances their access to sectoral and occupational information, • • Broadens their job search network, • • Increases their access to training and employment opportunities, • • Connects them with potential employers, • • Develops their professional capacity. • The World Bank ECA Youth Innovation Fund project “Improving Young Women’s Access to the Labor Market in Turkey” seeks to contract Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey (“Kagider”) to conduct and complete the training program. • The Project is planned to have three key components: • training , • mentoring, • job placement.
