Samurai in Hagi Samurai fighters were a special warrior class They were trustworthy, honest fighters, skilled in martial arts When finished in battle Samurai beheaded opponents so they could take them back to their leaders…. Or if defeated, they would kill themselves instead of bringing shame on their family Hagi was founded by a warlord who started a Samurai stronghold there. The building where they used to live still exist
Modern day Hagi Hagi is a nice historic old Samurai and castle town. Several streets of old buildings are preserved and have become museums. Hagi is famous for its pottery, the Kasuga Shrine, and the Sho-in Shrine.
