Q2: Who is the organisational body of CPD? • Organization of Teachers Training (OEPEK) : Regional further Education Centers (PEK) (www.oepek.gr) • Programmes of postgraduate studies are offered by Universities (MSc, Med, PhD) • Distance learning by Open University (www.eap.gr) • Marasleio Primary School Teachers’ Institute (MDDE) • Pedagogical Institute P.I. (www.pi-schools.gr) • School advisors • Decentralized Special centres (as Environmental Education centres, www.kpe.gr Science laboratory centres EKFE www.ekfe.gr ) • Training Institutes as :INEP, IDEKE for administrators/ directors in different Ministries • Teacher Associations , NGOs Study visit , Riga September 2010
Q3:How often CPD does take place? • Pre service training courses once . • In service training when needed (renovations) • New major Training Programme is planned by Pedagogical Institute for 2010-13 according to LLP. Q4:What kind of CPD is offered (courses, seminars etc.)? • Long term: Courses in PEK and post graduate studies in Universities 1,2,3,4 • Short term: Seminars, meetings, summer schools 5,6,7,8,9 Study visit , Riga September 2010
Q5: What is the content of CPD? • Pedagogical theories, didactic methodology, evaluation. • System needs (new curricula, new textbooks, implementation of computer technologies). • Innovations, special subjects (as environmental education, Special Education ) Study visit , Riga September 2010
