Features (behind the scene) • Involved 36 peer reviewers across the world spanning 5 continents! • One year from start to published journal (started on July 1, 2012 and published online 30 July, 2013) • Generous monetary support from SECC, FCI and WI, which realized the publication as a supplemental issue
Conclusions The Special Issue has shown • We are the first regional multi-disciplinary organization in the climate arena to embark on this successful endeavor---WE DID IT!!!! • Local climate information has to be generated “organically”, scientifically, and pass the test of peer review.
