timeline • 960: Spain had gone into a Muslim phase where they had started to build more mosques and they now had 600 mosques all over Spain. • 980: A small group of Christians had begun to emerge from the crowd of Muslims and under Alfonso VI. • 1020: Now that the Christians had started to grow the rulers of this religion had started to grow the rulers had threatened the Muslim rulers in Spain, this also weakened them. • 1160: Slowly the Muslims began to retreat from all over north and central Spain. But not all of Spain, some stayed. • 1180: On their slow voyage to the south, they thought about building The Alhambra. • 1232: The Alhambra was started in 1238 by Muhammad Ibn Al Ahmar he intentended to buy safety to his people by making peace with Ferdinand. For Ferdinand was a true dictator. • 1340: Fernidiand agreed to make peace with Muslims • 1440: Most Muslims simply stayed in Spain; because they had no other place to go.
Events • When Abd-Al-Rahman I came to Spain the Arabs were already making historical events into books. • When the Christian Kingdom attacked and tried to take over Toledo, all the friendship went away and the war started against the Muslim. • By the end of the first Muslim campaign into Spain everything of the northwest corner of the Iberian Peninsula came under the rule of the Arabs.

People • Tariq Ibn Ziyad: He won Spain in a fierce battle in King Roderic . Supporting him as well as helping him throughout all of is battles was Musa Ibn Nusayr. • Muhammad XII: Muhammad was the king of Spain. He became king by hiring other people to murder the former king. Therefore he took the empty throne. • Alfonso: Alfonso was a powerful Christian ruler who was born in 1040 A.D
King Ferdinand: King Ferdinand was a powerful ruler that was Christian and expelled Muslims and Jews from his land. • Abd Al-Rahman Abd Al- Rahman was a ruler that was born in Damascus , Syria. He was a ruler from 756-788. • Musa Ibn Nusayr Musa Ibn Nusayr helped Tariq Ibn Ziad in many battles and conquered most of Spain he died in 715.

Introduction • Ibn Al- Baitar made herbal medicine out of many different Herbs. • Some herbs were coconuts, bananas, myrrh, aloe Vera, garlic, etc. • He was one of the scientists of the middle ages. • In 1219 he started traveling all around the world for many years to look at all the different plants lives. • He traveled to Asia, north Africa to study and analyze plants.
