  1. TRAINING AIR WING SIX WELCOME ABOARD BRIEF

  2. CTW-6 PRESTART POOL Welcome to NAS Pensacola, FL and Training Air Wing SIX. This packet of information will serve as a resource for you both prior to starting your training and during. Congratulations on finding the TW-6 duty office. It is located in building 1854, on the 2nd deck, and is manned 24 hours a day 7 days a week by students just like you. Due to class size limitations and class start dates, you may be assigned to the TW-6 “prestart” pool. During this time you report to the TW-6 Student Control Officer, Mr. Dave Nichols or his assigned rep. Students in the pool are required to muster in person, in the uniform of the day, every weekday morning at 0830. Unless otherwise stated, the uniform for muster is your flight suit. Class assignments are normally made the week prior to the start of the class. You will also be assigned duty or watch during your time at the Wing. The uniform for all duties and watches is khakis and watches are normally 12 hour shifts. As the CTW-6 Assistant Wing Duty Officer (AWDO) you are the first point of contact for many different personnel ranging from new student check-ins to visiting VIP’s. As such, it is paramount that you display a professional appearance and maintain your military bearing at all times. Once you are “classed-up” and start your Primary academics you will no longer be required to muster with other Wing pool students. Please review the information on the following pages to ensure your are familiar with the information.
