PCO/PXO RESOURCES BRIEF • STIPENDS • STIPENDS ARE CURRENTLY SCHEDULED TO INCREASE BEGINNING FY-02 AS FOLLOWS: • FIRST YEAR - $250 • SECOND YEAR - $250 • THIRD YEAR - $300 • FOURTH/FIFTH YEAR - $350 NOTE: FY-01 NATIONAL DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION ACT CHANGED THE MINIMUM STIPEND TO $250 AND REQUIRES A TIERED SYSTEM.

CHRISTIAN

PCO/PXO RESOURCES BRIEF • SEAMAN TO ADMIRAL 21 (STA21) IMPACT • AS A RESULT OF STA-21, NROTC SCHOLARSHIPS WERE SCHEDULED TO REMAIN STEADY IN FY-01 AND START DECREASING IN FY-02 UNTIL WE REACHED AN AOB OF 4100 IN FY-05. • HOWEVER, SCHOLARSHIPS WERE REINSTATED BY 240 BEGINNING IN FALL FY02. NEW AOB TARGET IS 5060 BY FY06 • STA-21 WILL REACH AN AOB OF 1000-1500 BY FY-05 • AOB BETWEEN THE TWO PROGRAMS WILL BE BETWEEN 6060 AND 6560 IN THE OUTYEARS AS STA21 AOB MAY FLUCTUATE.

PCO/PXO RESOURCES BRIEF • GSA VEHICLE LEASE PROGRAM • ALL UNITS HAVE NOW REPORTED GSA HAS ASSUMED VEHICLE RESPONSIBILITY • UNITS ARE STILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR NECESSARY REPAIRS CAUSED BY ABUSE OR NEGLIGENCE. • GSA WILL REPLACE A MINIMUM OF 20% OF VEHICLES ANNUALLY • CNET WILL CENTRALLY MANAGE FUNDS FOR LEASE PAYMENT

PCO/PXO RESOURCES BRIEF • CIVPERS AWARDS • MONETARY AWARDS REMAIN CAPPED AT $350 PER EMPLOYEE • TIME-OFF AWARDS MAY BE GRANTED UP TO 80 HOURS PER YEAR, BUT TIME OFF MAY NOT EXCEED 40 HOURS AT ANY ONE TIME • ANY EMPLOYEE IS ELEGIBLE FOR A MERITORIOUS AWARD, BUT THESE ARE DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN; EMPLOYEE MUST HAVE DONE AN ACT OR SERVICE WELL ABOVE AND BEYOND THEIR PD AND THIS MUST BE APPROVED BY AN AWARDS BOARD HERE AT CNET

PCO/PXO RESOURCES BRIEF • TEXTBOOK POLICY • BEGINNING FALL FY-01 STUDENTS WILL BUY THEIR OWN TEXTBOOKS • PAYMENTS WILL BE $250 PER SEMESTER OR $167 PER QUARTER • PAYMENT WILL BE MADE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FALL SEMESTER; 10 JANUARY FOR SPRING SEMESTER/WINTER QUARTER, AND 10 APRIL FOR SPRING QUARTER • PAYMENTS WILL BE MADE AUTOMATICALLY BY DFAS VIA THE OPMIS SYSTEM TO THOSE MIDSHIPMEN IN GOOD STANDING • MEDICAL LOAS LATER QUALIFIED PAID MANUALLY • UNITS STILL HOLDING TEXTBOOKS MUST DISPOSE AT DRMO
