Using conditional tense in an imaginative context

1. Over the next few lessons we are going to be learning a new verb tense called the conditional. 2. Conditional tense This is used to say what would happen, what somebody would do, what something would be like. -AR/ER/IR VERBS (Comprar- to buy) YoCompraría Tú Comprarías El/Ella Compraría Nosotros/as Compraríamos Vosotros/as Compraríais Ellos/Ellas Comprarían IRREGULAR VERBS Haber =Habría – There would be Poder = Podría – I could Querer = Querría – I would want Saber = Sabría – I would know Poner = Pondría – I would put Salir = Saldría – I would go out Tener = Tendría – I would have Venir = Vendría – I would come Decir = Diría – I would say Hacer = Haría – I would do For the conditional tense, there is no need to take any endings off or even worry about whether a verb is –er / -ir / -ar. You simply add the correct ending to the whole verb. There are a handful of irregular verbs listed above where the stem has a slight change. Check your verb sheet before you conjugate them or use them in a piece of writing.
