Supporting people to manage their weight

Public Health Manager Verena Thompson from NHS North Central London Islington aims to prevent and manage obesity by promoting healthier behaviors. With evidence-based strategies, the program targets adults and children in Islington to address sedentary lifestyles and poor diets, focusing on group or individual interventions and long-term support. The initiative expects weight loss outcomes and sustainability, with evaluations measuring changes in eating habits, physical activity, and quality of life. Challenges include reaching diverse demographics and motivating behavior change effectively.
