1.Foreword • Invention and innovation are keys to business success • SMEs contribute significantly to GDP, employment and export • SMEs are constrained by inadequate resources and limited capacity

1)IP Award • Media exposure of products and inventors at press conference and open awarding ceremony • Invention Award • Innovation Award • Contribution Award • Follow up surveys reveal: great benefits to individual and corporate image, very good commercial effect, obvious sales increases after winning award
2)Invention Show • Taipei Int’l Invention Show and Technomart Since 2005 • 600 exhibit units and 1000 booths on display, more than 97,000 visitors from domestic and abroad • Platform for reaching potential buyers and licensees • High satisfactory of the exhibitors
3)Subsidies for medal recipients to int’l invention shows • Subsidize transportation costs for attending int’l invention shows (Nuremberg, Geneva, Paris, Pittsburgh, Moscow, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur) • 145 gold medals attained in 2010 (74 in 2008) • Prime Minister receives medal winners • Media exposure of products and inventors at press conference
