Results 2 • The rule • The winner of a race is the rider who crosses the finish line first • The riders who follow the winner will then be stopped when crossing the finishing line • Riders will be classified in order of finish and number of laps completed • (all riders finishing on the same lap as the winner will be classified in the order they cross the finish line, followed by riders with one less lap, then two laps and so on)

  17. Results 17 • The rule • Under any other circumstances, • such as mistaken display of the chequered flag • before the official time/distance, • the finishing order shall be determined • by the running order at the time the chequered flag is displayed

Results 19 • The rule • If the Qualifying Race / Race is stoppedafter the minimum required time has elapsed / distance has been run,then the Qualifying Race / Race will be considered complete • The riders’ placings will be at the end of the lap preceding and the stopping of the Qualifying Race / Race • Full Championship points shall be awarded (in case of a Race awarding FIM Championship/Prize points)

Results 20 • Interpretation of the rule • The red flag is been displayed before the official time/distance, • but after the minimum required time/distance has elapsed/been run • Official time/distance is 7 laps; the minimum required 4 laps; • the red flag is displayed during lap 6 • The finishing order shall be the running order at the end of the lap • preceding the stopping of the Race = Lap 5 • Lap 1 • Lap 2 • Lap 3 • Lap 6 • Lap 7 • Lap 4 • Lap 5 • START • FINISH • Lap 1 • Lap 2 • Lap 3 • Lap 4 • Lap 5 • Lap 7 • Lap 6 • START • FINISH

Results 22 • Event results • All FIM Championships & Prize Events • The winner of the event is the rider who has obtained the most points; the runner-up will be the rider who has obtained the second best number of points, and so on, irrespective of the number of races they have finished • The overall results will be completed with those riders who did not score any points by adding their positions of Race 1 and Race 2 • If a tie exists, the points in the Race 2 will determine the order of placing of those riders who scored points (position scored for the riders who did not score any points)

Results 23 • Championship results / Riders • All FIM Championships & Prize Events • The winner of the FIM World Championship/Prize Event is the rider who has obtained the most points from all the Races counting towards the FIM Championship/Prize Event • Points standings of the first event = event overall standings • As of the second event: according to the total number of points scored in all the Races • If a tie exists, the number of better placings will determine the order of placing in the provisional/final standings(If a tie still exists, the points scored in the last Race, last but one Race, and so on)

Results 24 • Championship results / Sidecars • Drivers • The winner of the Championship is the sidecar driver who has obtained the most points from all the races, irrespective of the number of races it completed • In case of ties, the number of better placings will be taken into account • If a tiestillexists, the passengerscored in the last race willdetermine the order of placing in the final standings

Results 25 • Championship results / Sidecars • Passengers • The passenger who will receive the awards will be the one who has gained the most points with the driver • In case of ties, the number of better placings of the passenger with the respective driver will be taken into account • If a tiestillexists, the passengerwithwhom the rider last gained points willbeplaced first and receive the awards

Results 26 • Championship results / Manufacturers • All FIM Championships & Prize Events • The winner of the FIM Manufacturers World Championship is the Manufacturer who has obtained the most points from all the Races counting towards the FIM Championship/Prize Event • Only the highest placed motorcycle of each Manufacturer will gain points, according to its position in the Race • The same principles as for the riders apply for the Manufacturers(Provisional & final standings, in case of ties) • In case a driver participates on different motorcycles (makes), it is the make of the motorcycle with which he has obtained themost points that will appear next to his name in the final results

Results 27 • Publication of the results • All FIM Championships & Prize Events • The results must include (1/3): • FIM, FMNR, Organiser/Moto Club and Championship logos • Title of the event • IMN Number • Date and venue of the event • Class • The name of the Clerk of the Course • The name of the FIM Delegate/Jury President

Results 28 • Publication of the results • All FIM Championships & Prize Events • The results must include (2/3): • Position, number, name and first name of the riders/passengers • Nationality of rider and passenger • FMN of rider and passenger • Motorcycle of the rider • Team of the rider (if FIM Team licence) • Tyre brand of the rider (if FIM Tyre Manufacturer licence)

Results 29 • Publication of the results • All FIM Championships & Prize Events • The results must include (3/3): • The number of laps and times of all riders • The number of classified riders • The winner’s average speed over the whole race • The name of the rider making the best lap in the racehis time and average speed

Results 30 • Publication of the results • All FIM Championships & Prize Events • The results: • Must be published asap • Must mention the time of publication • Must be approved by the Race Direction/International Jury • Must be signed by the Clerk of the Course • Must then be signed by the FIM Delegate/Jury President • and added to his report

Results 31 • FIM Championships & Prizes with a Promotor • When the results have been approved / day of the event: • MXGP-MX2-MXN-WMX-JMX-VMX-SNX • YouthStream will generate a results file to the FIM via FTP • SM-SMN • B-Prom will generate a results file to the FIM via FTP • AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship • AMA will generate a results file to the FIM via FTP

Results 32 • FIM Championships & Prizes without Promotor • Sidecar • Before the event: • FMNR must request a pass word access to the FIM • FMNR must download Excel results template • FMNR timekeeping crew must respect template • (no modification) • When the results have been approved / day of the event: • FMNR timekeeping crew must upload the results file
