The speed limit is 55 mph for a school bus transporting from school activities on a public road or on the Interstate system. d. The speed limit on extra-curricular trips is the posted speed for the road being traveled – or a maximum of 55 mph. f. Forsyth County School buses should never exceed 55 mph loaded or unloaded.
