A Note From the Teacher... Your child’s Valentine Shoebox is due this Thursday! They can make their own or use one from previous years Please make sure to check that they meet the requirements. If students would like to give out cards on Valentine’s Day, please make sure that they make them out to every student in the class You can see the entire list that was sent home in your child’s KOALA book. Thank you! Mrs. Sprague’s Snapshots Week of February 10th – 14th Reading-The story that we are reading this week is Luke Goes to Bat. We have been working on sequencing events. We are also working on words with long i (I,igh,ie,y), antonyms, and subject-verb agreement. Please make sure that you have your child read directions COMPLETELY when completing homework Math-We are wrapping up Chapter 7: Time and Money. Students have been learning how to find the value of a group of coins and tell time to the 5 minutes. Please continue to have your child practice with time and money at home. This is a hard concept for many to grasp! Chapter 7 Test is on Friday! Social Studies-We have kicked off Black History Month by talking about many famous black Americans. So far, we have learned about the contributions of Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and Ruby Bridges. We have also started researching United StatesPresidents! Don’t forget that Black History Projects are due this Thursday!
