  2. What is an Internship? • Nonpaid work experience in student’s career choice (academy) • Released at 4th block Monday through Thursday to work at business site. (10 hours per week) • Regular classroom instruction on Friday • Earn one credit toward graduation (receive a diploma endorsement for successful completion) • Allows you to gain first-hand experience and make contacts in your field of study

Requirements • Complete an Enrollment Application • Excellent attendance and discipline records • Teacher and/or administrator recommendations • Parental permission • Provide your own transportation • Medical students must be up-to-date on all vaccinations before working at a medical clinic/hospital
