What’s happening now? • UMS mark analysis and goal setting for this year • Subject teachers are providing references • Predicted grades are being confirmed • Personal statements are being written and proofread • Tutors are tracking student applications and discussing entry requirements with students. • Students completing UCAS application form. What are A-levels worth? • Most A-levels are made up of either: • four units, with a total of 400 UMS marks available. • or • six-units, with a total of 600 UMSmarks available. Students should be aware of the available UMS in their subjects Grade boundaries for UMS marks are fixed so that:A = 80% of the maximum UMSB = 70%C = 60%D = 50%E = 40%

Use Unifrog to pick 5 realistic universities A2 Subject predictions Biology – C English – D Chemistry – C AS Subjects Physics – E Extended Project – B UCAS Tariff points 80 + 60 + 60 + 20 + 100 = 340 Speak directly to universities with queries Do the universities accept Extended Project? Will they accept AS subjects?
