An extensively experienced individual, Robert Drapkin MD is licensed to practice in Florida and has been working as Research Assistant Professor, in Department of Medicine at the University of South Florida School of Medicine since September 1980. In addition to this, he is also a Moffit Cancer Center Affiliate physician and has been working at Morton Plant and Mease for 32 years.

  3. Present affiliations Currently, Robert Drapkin MD is affiliated to Largo Medical Center, Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital (Tarpon Springs, Florida), Morton Plant Hospital (Clearwater, Florida), Morton Plant Mease- Countryside Hospital (Clearwater, Florida), and Morton Plant Mease- Dunedin Hospital, Dunedin, Florida. He holds many certifications, including Diplomate of Internal Medicine (June, 1975), Diplomate of Medical Oncology (June, 1979), Fellow of the American College of Physicians (April, 1981), full member of the American Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation (1995), and Member of Solid Tumor Panel (1997).

Contribution to stem cell program In 1975, Robert Drapkin MD undertook the clinical responsibility at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York City, under the supervision of Bayard Clarkson, MD. He contributed a lot on the clinical research about human peripheral blood stem cells with Bayard Clarkson, MD. The research was sponsored by National Cancer Institute at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. From 1978 to 1979, he served as Attending Physician with bone marrow transplant service responsibility, at Roswell Park Memorial Institute, with Edward Henderson, MD. In this capacity, he also taught Oncology Fellows. agencies.

  5. Special interests Aside from his professional commitments, Robert Drapkin also takes special interest in art and is a trustee for the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, Florida. Moreover, he is also serving on the Collection Committee of Harvard Art Museum since 1996.
