La Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL), a través del Centro de Tecnologías de Información (CTI), está participando en la convocatoria Premio FRIDA/eLAC2010del Fondo Regional para la Innovación Digital en América Latina y el Caribe FRIDA/eLAC2010, busca reconocer las iniciativas de investigación e innovación digital que más contribuyeron a la Sociedad de la Información en América Latina y el Caribe en los últimos años. CTI se ha hecho presente con 6 iniciativas en las temáticas de: Educación, Gestión Pública, Infraestructura y Acceso. El mecanismo de votación es en línea. Las iniciativas más votadas pasarán a la fase final.
