As a Commissioning Manager, I lead a team in developing housing opportunities for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health challenges, older adults, and physical disabilities. We focus on creating inclusive housing options in partnership with Housing Associations, Care Providers, and District Councils to ensure high standards and community integration. We work on contracting new agreements, reviewing existing provisions, and preventing isolation by promoting engagement and communal areas. HOUSING STANDARDS 3. Housing should be available that enables people with learning disabilities to be placed close to family and friends. There should be good transport links and local shops and amenities should be accessible.
