SWEDISHCULTURAL CHARACTERISTICS • Divide work from private life • Avoid conflicts • Talk about facts (could be a religion??? Awake book) • Informal dress at work - formal at dinners • Time is important (even bus!) • Serve yourself everywhere • Chill (Lagom enough, adequate, sufficient)
THAICULTURAL CHARACTERISTICS • Avoid conflicts (only with boss) • Listen. we are good listener • Be amusing, Enjoy life (same Croatian) • Mix work and private life • Talk about feelings • Servant is all around • Time is money (we aren’t able to be chill) • Titles (Mr. , Dr.) are not important (K.)
More Thai cultures • Show respect to people (also non-live thing) • Don’t believe to politicians, media, police • Formal at school, work. Informal at dinner, night life(2 rules) • Beware elephant on the street • Follow other! (Yellow shirt on Monday) • Don’t mention about monarch and royal
RELATIONS BETWEENMANAGER/EMPLOYEE • Chain of command (Hierarchy) • Manager talks only. • More control • Indirect orders (a bottle of whisky)
MEETING CULTURES My experience in two companies • Informal meetings • No structures • To feel - not to decide • Analyzing • Aim to success, not method
