  7. Hours of Work (PS) • Normal scheduled hours • 0700-1800 • 7.5hrs M-F + (1/2 hr meal) • Not vary day to day • Documented w/ mgr • Change within above parameters w/8 wrk day notice or by mutual agreement

  8. Overtime (PS) • Authorized in advance by mgr (documented proof) • Outside Normal scheduled hours • 0.5 hr increments • 7.5hrs at 1.5 • Over 7.5hrs at 2.0 • Sundays always 2.0 • Paid in Comp leave • O/T Meal allowance $10.50

  9. Travelling Time (PS) • Normal Day – travel no work • Regular pay only • Normal Day – travel + work • Regular pay + overtime • No limit on work, travel time max 12 hrs straight time • Day of Rest – travel only • Overtime at applicable rate • Max of 12 hrs at straight time rate • Day of Rest – travel and work • Same as for Normal day travel + work • International – 15 hr cap

  10. Hours of Work & Overtime (NC) • FIP • 28 day cycle – 150 hrs • Min 8 days off per cycle • Work btwn 2300 and 0459 at 1.25 • Hours worked on Sched Day off are 1.5 • CARS duty limits apply • 6 duty days – 4 days off • 4 duty days – 2 days off • No days off away from home base • SDP • Monthly average 37.5 hrs/wk and 7.5 hrs/day • Workday M-F Sat/Sun Off • Hour in excess at end of month paid as overtime • AIS SDP normal day 0700-2300 • May do 37.5 hrs in less than 5 days • All OT is Comp Time with payout option

  11. Travelling Time (NC) • No Travelling time clause • Travel time is considered time worked.

Compensatory leave and Scheduling • PS – Art 19.04 • Scheduled in leave or paid in cash at request of employee and approval of employer • Payout on March 31 • Max carry-over of 75 hrs at direction of employer, or request of employee and discretion of employer • NC – Art 35.04 • Scheduled in leave or paid in cash at discretion of employer in consultation with employee, or at request of employee and discretion of employer • Payout on March 31 • Max carry-over of 10 days at discretion of employer in consultation with employee, cash out after carry over only at request of employee

Standby • Standby – payment for being available to take a call to work or return to work (no calls or work actually done) - the expectation and/or posting of availability incurs the payment • 1 hr for 8 hrs of standby or portion thereof • PS – paid in cash or may request comp time; NC -Paid as comp time • Standby duty distributed equally amongst qualified employees • Once respond to call Ovetime/Call Back applies

  14. Call Back • If return to workplace, the greater of • Min 4 hours at straight time, or • Overtime • PS – if no return to workplace, greater of • Min of 1 hour at straight time, or • Overtime • NC – if no return to workplace • work is 1 hour or less - 1.5 hours compensation • More than 1 hours – greater of min 4 hours or overtime

Statement of Duties • Art 33 – PS / Art 40 – NC • “Upon written request, an employee shall be provided with a complete and current statement of the duties and responsibilities of his or her position, including the classification level and where applicable, the point rating allotted by factor to his or her position, and an organization chart depicting the position’s place in the organization, if one is available, or within sixty days of the request.” NC Language. • Written request • Complete and current duties and responsibiites • Classification level and points rating allotment by factor • Org chart of position within organization • (NC only) within 60 days

Vacation Leave / Scheduling • PS • If requested by employee by Jun 1 • sched as requested • min 2 wks consecutive • subj to ops reqr • Otherwise to sched as requested by employee • If less than 1 week duration, and • Min 2 days notice • Max carry over 262.5 hrs, payout of excess • Max payout 112.5 hrs /year on employee req • NC • Similar amounts and accruals as PS • Sched – Request by Oct 1 for Jan to Jun and by Apr 1 for Jul to Dec • Otherwise reasonable effort to grant as requested by employee subj to operational reqr on equitabe basis amongst employees • Min 2 wks consecutive • Max carry over 225 hrs, payout of excess • Payout of up to 100% of carry over on employee req

  17. Professional Currency Program – EDA • PS – Art 47 • Necessary for duties • Assign each CAI to a PACP • Assign every employee in accordance with criteria and procedures established between employer and union • All changes except assignment to a program shall be by mutal agreement between parties • EDA (Art 46) paid monthly, requirement for annual documentation of completion of PACP to prevent recovery • NC - LOU 2-13 – NO EDA • Employees eligible but not mandatory • Qual std is ATPL or Cdn Mil – have or have held. • Company provides contracted program to renew Group 1 Instrument rating with current generation IFR certified GNSS aircraft • No adverse affect on employment if unsuccessful • Up to $250 for retraining to rewrite exams

  18. Discipline / Investigation (PS only) Art 49 • Requirement for notification in writing of any investigation that may result in disciplinary action • Be advised of who is investigating and why • Right to representation at any meeting with management • No evidence from employee file that employee was not aware of • Provide employee with information used in investigation subject to ATIP restrictions

Right to representation • PS – Art 8 and 11 • Right to bargain for group • Right to appoint representatives • Access to Premises – Art 13 • Dues Check off - Art 17 • Grievances – Art 35 • NC – Art 6 and 7 • Recognition of PSSRB Certificate under CLC • Right to bargain for group • Right to appoint representatives • Dues Check off - Art 10 • Grievances – Art 22

Joint Council Provisions • Nav Canada Joint Council (NCJC) • Article 23 - Guidelines form part of Collective agreement • NCJC grievance procedure • National Joint Council (NJC) • Article 42 - Directives form part of collective agreement • NJC grievance procedure Travel, Workforce Adjustment, Relocation, Isolated Post etc.
