  2. Every Monday, 1 crate of water = 24 plastic bottles • 10 weeks = 240 plastic bottles total • After 10th week, we all got reusable sports water bottles • No more plastic water bottles THROUGHOUT THE SEASON

  3. 29 billion bottles used per year • Manufacturers use 17 million barrels of crude oil • Enough crude oil for 1 million cars for 12 months • Only 1 of 6 bottles are recycled • End up in trashes in land, rives, lakes, and oceans • 1 plastic bottle = 60 watt light bulb for 6 hours Water bottle consumption - USA

  4. Impacts from US CONSUMPTION Energy required to produce plastic bottles = 17 million barrels of crude oil 3L of water to produce a 1L plastic bottle Less than 20% gets recycled A 20.3 g plastic bottle generates 96g of greenhouse gases

Energy required to produce 240 plastic bottles = .14064 barrels of crude oil • 1440L of water required to produce 240 500mL plastic bottles • Less than 40 out of 240 plastic bottles will be recycled • 240 plastic bottles = 96 lbs. of carbon dioxide(only from the producing on the bottle; does not include transportation) IMPACTs from GW MEN’S SOCCER consumption
