  2. Ola, Eu Sou Ferdinand Magellan. (Portugese Language) I was born in 1840 in Northen Portugal, Sabrosa. I was a sailor crossing through the Pacific Ocean which means Peaceful Ocean.

  3. In 1506,I went to he East Indies, participating in many military and exploratory expeditions in Malacca and Moluccas, thenknown as the Spices Islands. By 1510,I had been promoted to the rank of Captain. I returned to Portugal in 1512. In 1513,I was stationed in Morocco, where I suffered wounds that maimed me for life. I waswounded because I was attacked.

  4. I requested an increase in my royal allowance but was rejected by King Emannuel ( King of Portugal ) who didn’t agree with my plan to find a westward route to the Moluccas. This made me renounce my Portugese nationality!

  5. My Parents, Ruy Pedro Magalhaes and Alda de Mezquita, were also members of the nobility. ( they were wealthy and powerful ).

  6. I died in The Philippines before I finishedmy explorationsbecause I was killed by Lapu Lapu’s army in Mactan Island on April 12 1521. Magellan LostHis Life Because of Fighting With Lapu Lapu’s Army
